The construction of a Processing Center for Jumbo Peanut harvest collection, drying, and value addition in Kilinochchi (Akkarayan). This processing center aims to handle the harvest before it is released to the market, ensuring quality processing and storage.
The primary goal of this project is to enhance the processing capabilities for Jumbo Peanuts in the Northern Province. The construction of a dedicated factory with modern processing equipment and cold storage will increase efficiency and improve the overall quality of the peanuts before they reach the market. This will also contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the region and support the livelihood of local farmer

- Processing Factory:
A dedicated space designed with standard techniques for processing the Jumbo Peanuts. This includes drying, cleaning, sorting, and potentially packaging the peanuts for market release. - Cold Rooms:
Temperature-controlled storage areas will be included in the design, allowing for proper preservation of the peanuts and maintaining their quality before distribution. - Factory Steel Roof:
A steel roof will be used for the factory building, ensuring durability, strength, and longevity of the structure. It will provide protection to the processing areas from environmental elements. External Drainage Systems:
A comprehensive drainage system will be implemented around the factory to manage water runoff, reduce flooding risks, and ensure proper site drainage, especially during heavy rains.Parking Locations:
The project includes designated parking areas for vehicles, ensuring proper space for transportation and logistics, such as trucks and delivery vehicles for peanut collection and distribution.
