Rajapihilla Central Park, located in the heart of Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, spans approximately 2.1 acres and serves as a serene urban oasis for both residents and visitors. The park is designed to cater to walking enthusiasts, offering well-maintained pathways amidst lush greenery. In January 2021, the park underwent significant redevelopment, which included the removal of 32 trees to facilitate modernization efforts. This development aimed to enhance the park’s infrastructure while balancing environmental considerations.
The redevelopment project was undertaken by Mode Engineering (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Mode Group of Companies.
As of January 17, 2025, Rajapihilla Park has been reopened to the public, showcasing its updated amenities and revitalized landscapes. The park now features modern facilities that blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, providing visitors with a tranquil environment for relaxation and leisure activities.
